Really now, my keychain gets compliments and second looks! My liscense plate says "LIL FYSH" ('cuz hubbies says "BIG FYSH")....and well, everyone knows I love flowers! They just soooo suit me!

Yvonne made the adorable fishy, and isn't that crocheted flower Marieke made just the sweetest? And if that wasn't enough, Hope found me that cute "SWEETPEA" magnet at a store called MUSE that she hit recently! THANKYOU GALS!! LOL xoxoxox

Spring is slowly making it's way to my part of the world. It's been raining like crazy, and we've had flooding galore! This morning, when I went to work, I looked down at the downtown parking lot, and it was completly flooded, the water going directly to the back of the buildings, flooding friend's business basements. My bestest girlfriend Judy was still cutting hair though, and I convinced her to chop yet more off!  It's now officially the shortest I've had it since Junior High....and I don't want to say how long ago that was!

My Dad was supposed to come over with his tractor and dig me up a few new garden plots, but I'm afraid it will be too wet for that! We've had mallards swimming in the makeshift "ponds" that now grace our yard. Great for duck watching....the dogs have been especially enamored with our new feathered friends....but have respectively kept their distance. They're such good babies.

Our lawn has gone from a dead, dried brown, to a lush spring green in just the matter of a few days! The flowers are popping up to say, "hello...we're back!" in my perennial garden. I bought new deck furniture, as we had just put a new deck on to the addition last fall....thankyou very much for the great bargains Martha Stewart ~ Kmart!

HEY ALL!

FINALLY some time to sit down and write a proper post!

FIRST question I have for all of you is about the new bar Motime has put up top. I figure since most of my commenters are non-Motime folk, maybe you could give me your opinion on the new bar. I like the idea of it, but what I am seeing on my computer is the bar going right across my name. Our beloved Motime host Howard is convinced that it's my old crappy system...(which yes I do have). He says it doesn't come up that way on his....how does it look on yours? I'm putting up a new banner soon, that I wanted to go across the top, but am not feeling too excited about that idea, if it can't even be seen. So please friends, let me know! **UPDATE** GRRRRR....in a failed attempt to play around with different templates, I do believe I have lost some things, like all of our link buttons....will fix soon. ANYHOO...this was the set up I was thinking of, but with a pretty banner going across the top. Will there be enough room for a banner? I hate not knowing what I am doing!

Ispired by a picture of Melissa's garden, I was going to post one of mine, but after searching around for the camera, I just realized that Jon must've taken it fishing with him this morning. Is it that time of the year again all ready? And you mean to say I have to share? DRATS!

Collective Souls...."Believe" and "Spring Fling" have moved on to their next destinations! Dawn has possesion of "Believe" and Marieke has sent "Spring Fling" to Yvonne. To see the wonderful packaging job that Marieke did, go visit her or Yvonne's sites!  Please remember that for Spring Fling, we are only doing one page (2 sides)...so make it count! I am going to do something a little different for the 3rd journal, but I will wait a while...I don't want to burn anyone out on these journals. We'll get "Believe" completed first. I am getting excited at the prospect of drawing that first name!!

SPEAKING of names being drawn....guess what I won? One of Shelagh's awesome prints!!! And it was my favorite to boot! I can't wait to frame it and put it in my new room!! I was so excited....HAVE FUN IN PARIS SHELAGH!

SO, lot's of changes going on! I've decided to get out of the antique ~ painted furniture business. *sigh*. There are many, many reasons why, and I wont bore you with it all, except to say that my heart just simply isn't in it anymore, and that really is the main reason.

MAN OH MAN....do I have my work cut out for me! It will be a couple of months before I can empty all of my inventory from the barn and the chicken coop. I will hang on to my booth at River Edge Antiques and keep cramming the stuff in it. I put 30% off, and the wares seem to be moving at a pretty good pace! Near the end I will do 50%, and maybe have a big barn sale here at the house. I can't explain to you how happy the prospect of having the barn and the coop back makes me. Things were becoming so cluttered with inventory, it was driving me nuts! We are going to do some work to the barn, and set up all of our power tools properly, and have a real work shop! (Did any of you know that I have some really cool tools?) (Thanks to my Dad), I'm pretty well set up, and now I'll get to PLAY with my tools more!! And our adorable little chicken coop will become a cute gardening shed!

So will I still be creative? YOU BETCHA! I'm ready for a change in my creativity, and I'm also ready for it to be about me....not for other people. I have had some somewhat bizarre ideas popping into my head, and I'm ready for some experimenting. I also want to have an online site, but need to create smaller things to sell. BUT for now, it's all about fun, not stress!

What will I do about work? Hmmmm...really good question! I will probably go wait on tables for the summer...we are so close to a bunch of touristy towns, I know I can bring home some $cash$. I may stay where I currently sling beers 2 days a week, but even that is up in the air at the moment....when I say I'm ready for a change...I'm really ready!

SOOOOO...that's my big drama for the week! YES, I'm sad...I have customers who have all ready called the house when they got wind of it through River Edge. One customer has purchased A LOT of my pieces, and she left a message asking where else will I be setting up my furniture? I tried to call her back, but no answer. YES, I'm sad...as I pack up the used furniture that I have found over the years, I think things like, "I remember this piece, I was going to paint this and that on it"....blah, blah, blah. YES, I'm sad...but I'm relieved too. I have to tell you, I feel free.

I just want to let you all know that I've been terribly busy....I have made some VERY IMPORTANT changes & descisions lately, and will clue you all in soon. Let's just say,   Jon and I plan on having a FUN summer and here are a few of my goals...

1: I will become a better fly fisherman/woman

2: I will have the best looking garden in Whitefield

3: I will have the prettiest sun room EVAH

4: For now, I will "create" only for myself & for the love of it

5: I will be working (hopefully if I find one) a new job

I may have given some of it away....but I'll explain in more detail soon!

Happy Birthday Dearest Sis!

Hey old Gal, I hear it's your birthday!

What a drag...work, then school all day...on your birthday! We'll do something special on your vacation, and if the guys are lucky, we may let them come....but I highly doubt it! 

Remember not so long ago dancing like ballerinas to Tori Amos, beading flowers & ying-yangs on our jeans....and the summer you lived with me? I still remember it all, braiding your hair, taking you to the movies, and being able to trade clothes even at a 9 year age difference! You coming for your first stay with me in Boston, and me visiting you in Ithaca & the D.R. Bringing you to a Phish show, making jewelry, and even our sisterly arguments! I remember and cherish it all....and hope for many more fond memories to come! LOL

Collective Souls, though I have been busy, you are all still one of my top priorities! I've been thinking that I may have to give up some of my other "fun computer activities"....but never you talented souls! Also, I'd like to say how sorry I am that we will be losing Yvonne! I know that all of you understand, as I do, that as artists, we can't be forced to create something we don't enjoy or feel uncomfortable with. She still wants to do "Spring Fling" as one more...well "FLING", and whoever get's to keep it and "Believe" will be all the more lucky to have her work in them! Thanks Yvonne for giving it a go, and for all of your help with the site!
