Don't fret gals...he puts them back alive and well.

Inspired by Blue Poppies decorative Christmas shelf, I'd thought I'd share my mantle in the kitchen. You can't see the other end, but there's more old pottery....I like anything with a spout and a handle.
I bought some fabulous little gifts from my bloggy friends. They were LOVED to pieces by the receivers.
Cassi over at Bella Dia Designs made this dreamy magnolia pin cushion.

I bought a couple of sets of these cute stitch markers from sweet Rachel over at Zephyr Style.

I am in love with this adorable set of postcards designed by my bestest blogging buddy Hope from Paper Relics.....I bought 3 sets.
There's so much more I would have liked to buy!
Maybe a little gift for meself after Christmas??

Finally a little time to sit and write! I have started to try and catch up with all of you this morning, and seriously, I could just get down on my knees and weep at the pure beauty of this new computer and fast internet service!! THAT'S RIGHT...high-speed internet finally came to my neck of the woods, and "life is good" as we say here in Maine! And the quality of all of your pictures are better then ever on this Dell! AND....they all load up for me too...I'm such a happy girl!!
THANKS BIG DADDY FOR MY EARLY CHRISTMAS PRESENT!!
He said he couldn't watch me struggle and stress...(and curse) any longer!
SPEAKING of Big Daddy, the party was a great success! We had lots of good food , friends and family! I organized a BIG SURPRISE, and the family all pitched in and bought him a 14 ft. Old Town, angler's addition kayak! HE REALLY WAS SURPRISED!!! My Dad showed up later then the rest of the fam, with the kayak sticking out of the back of his SUV. We told Jon that Dad needed help unloading something out of the car! He was psyched! (so was I). I kept jumping up and down, squealing & clapping, because that's just the sort of dork I am!! (I am also envisioning romatic kayaking trips together) (DOUBLE DORK!!)
A couple of Sunday's ago my friends Sara & Rayjean came over to make wreaths. Big Daddy took us into the woods with pack baskets, and clippers to gather our materials. Once we got back to the house, he took off to the stream to fly fish. We got the retro 80's music cranking, the BIG MEAT pizza ordered, and away we went. Rayjean and I cranked out about 5 wreaths a piece, and Miss Sara finished 2. hmmmmm.....maybe it's because she was too busy making up gooby lyrics to the music??

(I'm not sure what's up with the quality of this pic??)

I wanted to make sure our whale door knocker was still visible!
Anyhoo.....just thought you'd all get a kick out of this, and all though I'm always complaining how busy I am, I still make time to sneak in a little fun!
SPEAKING of fun, I've got some gals coming over to knit this afternoon, and we are going to gorge ourselves on some leftovers from the party! (there was so much food, we never ate it all) We have brie in a homemade pastry puff that is just begging to be eaten.
I can always diet next week.
Be looking for me....I'm lightning fast now, and I'll be over real soon to say hello! I really do miss you all!
Happy 40th Birthday Big Daddy!

Even the birdies love you!
Thankyou for being you, and for loving the pets and I as much as you do!
Looking forward to getting together with friends and family tomorrow night....hope you have fun!
