Isn't she just dreamy?? I just bought her from sweet, talented Shelagh. I am going to put her above my computer in the new sunroom/studio....just as soon as I get some heat that is! (I'm about half way saved for a good monitor!!)) Of course I suppose, if I'd stop buying things like this, I'd probably have the heat all ready. Hey...a girl's gotta have her goods!

Haley's Dream is for sale here. Get to her before I do!
UPDATE: Haley's dream has been sold...you can still click on the link above to check out more of Shelagh's fabulous artwork!!
Speaking of goods....I have been busy making fun wares for my soon to be new shop. I'm not saying another word though...it's all a big secret! I DO want to thank my friends for all of their help and advice! (you KNOW who you are!!)
Collective Souls...believe it or not...I have been working on our new journal in between paint drying. It's coming soon, and I think you'll like it!
I have been making some new friends from Flickr!
(sisters with a serious addiction!) (kinda' like my converse sneaker addiction!!)
I stand corrected: Miss Conch has a fun collection of clogs...I think the point would be is that we are all in love with our footware. this is not strange, this is perfectly normal. really it is.
oxoxoxo
Being the nosey sort, I am loving this Flickr group!
Here is the pictures I posted to the group this morning.
It's in my upstairs studio and has almost taken a whole dormer wall....I have photographed it in 3 sections.
It's safe to say about 95% of it is snail mail from my blogging friends.
It's an everyday inspiration!
Recognize anything??

I also like Paper Fetish, Nifty Thrifty, & Shop Goodies.
Collective Souls is my personal favorite....for obvious reasons!
How did I get so lucky and make such FABULOUS FRIENDS???

Dawn remembered! When some of us crafty friends met in NYC this past fall, I was lucky enought to spend the afternoon with Dawn while waiting for the others to arrive. I kept admiring these chunky enameled belts we were seeing at all of the little sparkly shops in Mahatten. I never did get myself one, but Dawn had apparently filed it away!! xoxoxox (all of the other goodies are so sweet too!)

The ever wonderful Leslie spoiled me rotten! I confess that I have eaten quite a few of those truffles....so??? I am loving the bundle of postcards designed by her! And the book is just so fun, very inspiring! THANKYOU Dearest Girl! How do you find the time to think of us all?

I tried to rewrap this, just to show you how sweet it looked when I opened up the box! Not only did Kathleen send me a pile of goodies, but the wrapping job was just lovely! Unfortunately, I'm a horrible wrapper~upper, I just couldn't recreate the effect! Ah well! I was lucky to receive little wonderments from her shop....but my favorite?

Was this necklace that she makes and sells in her shop. I just have always wanted it...and planned on purchasing it! (I don't believe I had ever mentioned that to her though!) Isn't it Gorgeous!?
Thankyou once again Gals....me so weepy.
We had a great time in Florida, lots of shopping, boating, fishing, eating and just hanging out really. The couple that we stayed with were so much fun to hang out with, making us feel so comfortable in their lovely home! They live on a canal in Cape Coral, and I have to say that I was not used to a set up like that. It was just so different than what we are used to here in Maine....but COOL...way cool! We rented a boat for a couple of days, so it was great fun to poke around and be nosey....scoping out all of the fun backyards and tiki hut/bars!
My birthday came and went while there, and Jon bought me a BEAUTIFUL sterling bracelet from one of the artists at the Fort Myers Artfest. (I'll show a picture of it next post, I promise) The Artfest was in downtown Fort Myers on the water, and again, it's always so nice going to a different area....as the art tended to be a little different than what you see here in Maine.
The night of my birthday we went out to eat at a wonderful restaurant called Rum Runners, where we sat on the deck and watched the mega money boats cruize in. I ate baked "Kobia fish" with "wild boar sausage" & "fresh shrimp" over "potato gnocci". It was wonderful.......the kobia and wild boar being my first try evah'!
It was just nice to be in the sunshine, especially now that we've come back home to 20 deg. weather.
I had a couple of surprises awaiting me....yet more Birthday gifts...DAMN I'm spoiled!

From my Galpal Judy....a purse she knitted (with lining I might add), a book on Freeform knitting...something I've been looking into as of late, AND a gift certificate to this place called SOAK in Portland. OMG....it came with 2 little menus, one describes the foot, hand & leg massages, wraps, dips and anything else you could think of! The other menu is a wonderful food and tea menu! I can't wait to try some of the different teas! Take a minute to peak at that link...it's incredible! I will be sure to fill you all in once we go!

Just look at what the SWEETEST little Gnome in the universe sent me! A pretty kitchen towel to clean up with after squeezing a lemon from my new "easy peasy lemon squeezy"....since I was just following directions for a recipe from my new seafood cookbook! A wonderful set of her Doe a Deer notecards from her FAB shop, and a birthday message written on a pretty postcard designed by my good friend Leslie at the Paper Princess! (AKA Rubbersol). A pretty little journal that can hold all my bitches and woes.....just kidding (O.K. no I'm not) PLUS she sent me a candle that I forgot to take a pic. of because it was currently sitting on the coffee table being used! (I love candles!)
*PHEW*
It's tough being me.
xoxoxoxox
Hopefully by Saturday we will be searching for pretty sea shells here....

Yes...we are finally taking a much needed vaca!
Have a great week!
