weekend with friends......

Sadly I take Tom and Dawn back to the airport today! It just goes by so fast!

Saturday we took them boating down the Damariscotta River. We had a great little boat ride, but had to stop before we got to the ocean, as the fog was rolling in! Tom said he enjoyed seeing the fog, so that was cool. We saw the usual wildlife of birds & seals. A fun sighting was a bald eagle.

After the boat ride, we stopped at the fish market for lobster and steamers. The cell phone was ringing, and there was a making of a party here at the Plenty To Do Farm. We stopped at a farm stand for corn, and Dawn bought me a bouquet of sunflowers! That night some of our friends came rolling in with beer and wine. What a great time, everyone hit it off so well! The boys discussed in great length the beauty of Allens Coffee Brandy.

After dragging ourseleves up and out of bed Sunday morning, we took a ride to beautiful Camden. We did a little hiking, (and I mean just a little here), then drove up to the top of Mt. Batty.

What fabulous hair we have eh? It was a beautiful view, and I think they enjoyed it. From there we went downtown to the famous Cappy's for a wonderful lunch! After, Dawn and I did a little shopping while the boys looked at boats in the Harbor. It was a great day in Maine!

SO....time to take them back today and get back to work and reality. Such a shame I tell you.

LOOK CLOSELY........

FINALLY!

LOOK CLOSELY necklaces will be in the shop by Sunday early afternoon!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So what have you been up to this weekend?
Big Daddy took myself and S.I.L. Beth fishing last night. We didn't catch any fish, but what a beautiful night to be on one of the prettiest salt water rivers in Maine!
My sister Marissa came to visit Friday, and we took a stroll through the lovely town of Wiscasset. I wrote about it over at Create a Connection.
Today I'm working in the studio, and trying to get the house in shape as Dawn and Tom are coming to visit next weekend. I'm mega excited!
I'd love to hear about your weekend adventures, so give us a taste of your weekend in the comments, and if you've written about it on your blog, add the post link, so we can go see!
so smitten!
I am, I am, I really, really am SO SMITTEN I tell you!
Don't you just adore these new postcards my dearest, oldest blogging pal whipped up for me? That Hope is pure genius!
I am trying to get a workshops program going here at The Plenty To Do Farm, and as usual Hope took time out of her busy schedule to help me! She has been doing a lot of freelancing, and YOU TOO could have something just as cute! She also does business cards, logos, web design, buttons and banners!
SO add some beauty to your life and give her a shout!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I just have to show you this lovely print I purchased from Paulette Insall

Isn't she FABULOUS?! Talk about being smitten!

I have been ogling her lovely pieces on Flickr for quite a while now, but this one just spoke to me! I went to purchase it, and it was LONG gone, but the little Art Fairey sent me an email today to let me know there was another one up for grabs! xoxox

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
NOW for all of you LOOK CLOSELY fans, they are ALMOST DONE! They should be in the shop by the weekend. If you want to know when, you can sign up for my Junque Revival newsletter (in the side bar to the right) to be the first to know. THANKS AGAIN for all of your inquiries *blush*. I've doubled up on them, so hopefully they don't run out too fast this time!
Hope your summah is fabulous folks!
Well, well, well! It's amazing what a true~blue relaxing vaca. will do for your creative spirit.
I've added some new Revived Relics to the shop. Here's a sneak peek!
"The Yellow Sands"
"Artsy"
"Black Widow"
For those of you who have emailed me about the Look Closely pendants, FIRSTLY, THANKS for your interest, they are coming SOON I PROMISE!! Want to hear a funny story? It wasn't funny last night, but it's becoming more and more humerous as today wears on...... Our oven (NOT stove top) but just the oven is not working. It kicked just about grilling time, so needless to say, we have kind of ignored the problem, as we are BBQ freaks this time of year anyway. Yesterday afternoon, I made up 30 Look Closely pendants. Big Daddy said he could bake them in the gas grill. Big Daddy discovered that he could not bake them in the gas grill. Well, maybe he could have, if he had not walked away for a mere 5 minutes. I came downstairs to the raunchiest smell I've had to smell in a long time, and Big Daddy looking very upset. No, it didn't take a genius to figure out the situation. I had to go upstairs and lay down. I could not be mad at him, because he was only trying to help, and he sat down and helped me finish them up too, placing the "O" rings in each and every one. SO, tonight HE and I will make up some more, and I will take a tray of them to a friend's tomorrow to bake.
I know, I know.... fixing the oven would probably be a good idea.
Downeast adventure......
Well, we just returned home from our boating adventure with Jon's Dad and his Girlfriend Jen. Words can't described what a lovely time we had. Just think of the most beautiful, wonderous thought you can bring to mind, languish in the memory of it, relish the thought and feel the smile on your lips.
That is the best way I can describe the last four days.
This is where we lived!
Jen & Andrew making cocktail munchies
Picking pretty polished rocks for the garden
pretty views as far as the eye can see
If you'd like to see more photos, then just head over to my Flickr.
Hope you are all having a wonderful Fourth!
