OK...so I have really been lucking out on my finds lately! I found these set of skates in my Mom's pile of costume jewelry! I wanted to keep the chain light and give the impression of snow and ice, so I thought the snow quartz and the crystals worked well together!

My Mom came down a couple of weeks back for lunch, shopping and a cool antique stop. She had made an appointment with a local dealer to go to his home and look at a collection of buttons, and I went along for the ride. Wasn't I in heaven when he pulled out a few boxes of old costume jewelry! I got to sit at their kitchen table and dig for treasures....
This was part of an old vintage bracelet. The ruby red glass captured my eye immediately, as I knew I had a pair of antique earrings at home that would match. I combined the earrings and bracelet findings to come up with this one-of-a-kind piece!

I always have a hard time tagging my pieces over at Etsy. I immediately had thought "folk dance" or "river dance", but one of my fabulous Maine Team members Jamie had thought "moulin rouge". I loved her perspective on the piece!
Speaking of Jamie, we are having a craft night at her house Monday night and she is going to teach me how to paint with her handmade encaustic paint cakes. I've been wanting to learn this ever since Leah and the gang came to stay at the house for an art retreat. The jewelry has kept me too busy to do much else, but I am thinking that sometimes I need to just step away and force myself to play in other mediums, if for anything, just to keep the jewelry fresh!

I've had a very busy four days while Big Daddy's been away on his fishing trip!
First I opened a new Etsy shop called Vintage Junque Revival. I have collected so many little found objects and such, that I decided it might be time to destash a bit and share some of my collection with you!

I've put together these little "vintage assemblage bundles" along with vintage photo lots, old books and antique jewelry. Hope you'll swing over and poke around a bit!
Today I had the pleasure of hooking up with some of my Etsy Maine Team members in Rockland for lunch and a meeting! Kim picked me up at the house and we were off to see some of the gang. Some of us brought our goodies to show off......

Hey all! Happy Fall!
As usual I've been missing in action here at Sweetpeas. There's so much going on, it's hard at the end of the day to sit down and write a proper post! I also have some serious catching up to do with some of you!! (Tammy, Leah and Lea, Elizabeth, Shelagh, Susan, Hope, Kathleen, Leslie & Giao) OH and there's MORE of you girls....you know who you are! I miss you all!
I wanted to share a sneak peek with all of you!

I'm going to be in Belle Amoire Jewelry's winter issue! I think I will have two articles in that issue and here's a peek at one of them...
Once I get these pieces back they will be up for sale in my Etsy shop. Can you believe I allready had an email from someone asking me if one of those pieces would be up for sale? I'll post it here when I get them back, which I honestly have no idea when that will be!
OK, I'm off and running gang. Will catch up with some of you REAL SOON!
