paths & new friends.....

Oh where oh where do I start?

I have been enjoying some sites as of late, that I'm linking because I love their inspiration, arty fartyness and general good natured thoughts!

True Nature

Rose Garden Romantic

Fine Van Brooklyn

Hope you like these talented ladies as much as I do!

Yesterday we finally had the most beautiful of weather, so I decided to start a crazy-assed project that will take me all summer! I would LOVE to have it done before Hope & Dawn get here....but I still need to get the bathroom done before the big visit...and I think that's more important!

Trying to make this path a little more "finished" is the goal here. I plan on planting some low lying plants called "steppables" in between the rocks....apperently the more you step on them the better they grow. That is what a local garden designer told me that was stuck on jury duty with me last week. (that was the highlight of my jury duty duties)

The path will continue around the house...to the deck. As you can see I started the slow digging process by hand.

And finally to the deck...I will be planting tall perennials around the deck and along the path. I used the wonderful "notes" toy at Flickr to describe how & where everything will be....so if you are as nosey as me....click here. Jon is putting up a rain gutter above the deck...so I have not "prettied" it up yet. I can't wait to be sitting with my cup of coffee and a book amongst tall bee balm and delphiniums!

~Don't ask me how my back feels today...I'm in denial.~

The rest of the day I worked on more items for my shop. I know...it's taking me FOREVER....but I am one of those people that likes things just right! I painted away....but it wasn't furniture and you can keep them close to heart! That's all I'm saying for now!

The stone path is wonderful! Thank you for leaving comments on my blog!
I wanted to let you know that the peice of collage art on my page was not created by me, but by a talented artist whose name is escaping me at the moment. I was using it as an example of the wonderful inspiration that can be found on the art-ezine website. I didn't mean to give the impression that I made it and now am a bit embarrased- I think I'd better go make my wording more clear. I have not yet created any collage art, but am very exited to start soon. Come back and visit often! :)

Hey, thanks for the cheers! I love being called artsy fartsy. Your garden path looks sooooo good. I'm envying, but in a good way. Sending very happy, generous garden-growing vibes down the coast to you. I'm off to Flickr to see what and where! patricia

Sort of gives one an appreciation for those thousands of miles of roads the Romans built! Great path of yours and I love the planting plans. Hope & Dawn sounds like a singing duo, but I bet they're really handy with a shovel and a spot of rock lifting! Have a great day...Barb
