Yarn & Stix....how could one go wrong?

YARN SWAP.......makes a very fine swap indeed!

Maria sent me this lovely package of beautiful yarns from Sweden along with some sweet treats! In turn I sent her some beautiful Maine Alpaca yarn, and locally hand dyed wool! I can't wait to see what she does with it! Heck, I can't wait to play with the wool she sent me!

THANKS GIRL!

I've been busy making Funky STIX! I may put a few in the shop this weekend, though I think many will go out for Christmas gifts.

They would look beautiful tucked in a knitted wrap, sweater, scarf or as a pretty hair accessory.

The scarf is a present I just finished for someone...but I'm not concerned, they'd never guess! It's got REALLY long tassles and is made from Rowan's "Summer Tweed". It's a silk/cotton combo and oh~so scrumptious!

I made these wider versions for chunky sweaters, wraps and shawls.

I'd love to know what you all think!

Don't forget! There's still plenty of time to win a Junque Revival necklace. Just read the previous post and get those fingers typing!!

Gorgeous these new stix of yours! I especially adore the one in the bottom picture. And whoever gets that scarf is one lucky gal. I hardly ever knit myself but absolutely love seeing and wearing other people's creations.

They are all treasures. I love the sleekness of the top one, the middle one reminds me of a pen, the stone (bead?) on top is so pretty and the bottom one's ornament looks like a little birds egg and is perfect with the scarf. Just lovely!

I love your funky stix!! And the scarf you knitted is really great.
I'm glad you liked the yarn I sent you. I've already decided what to do with the hand-dyed yarn you sent me (but I have to wait until I have finished all Christmas gifts). You'll see ... sooner or later :-)
I'll blog about it later, too, because the light is so bad that I'm not able to get a good photo until Saturday or Sunday when I'm home at mid day.

Love that lavender colored scarf. Would you believe that with the move this fall I have misplaced my scarfs and gloves! I can't seem to find the two scarfs you knitted me or the one that I knitted (and kept). I guess that means I'll have to shake the rust of and get back to practicing my novice technique. And, I can use our sleep over as my own personal consultation with a pro!

Oh, it looks like I'm not gonna be able to come up with a story! I'm such a bore, I'm so sorry!! Looking forward to reading the winning tale and getting jealous of the winner of your necklace...

I'm finally trying to post again myself but I'm having weird problems with Wordpress, can't upload photos or links, it's driving me nuts! I hope I'll succeed tomorrow. Thanks for your comments on Flickr, you made my day! And I hope you got my last e-mail, by the way. Have a lovely weekend!
Lea in holiday stress madness... :)
