Is it Spring yet?

I'm glad I didn't put away the winter coats & boots yet.

This is a view from the side of the house from the sunroom. It's supposed to be my garden. I took this shot for Katie. I told you to feel bad for me Katie! If you pop over to her site, you will see the loveliest of Spring blooms and seedlings in the works. It's enough to make this Maine Girl green (or maybe not so green) with envy!

We have about 17 pine trees surrounding the house. We've had a ton of breakage on the lower branches this winter. You can't tell, but there is a field and woods way back there.

This is looking out my front door across the street. I drove home in this last night at midnight. Hopefully it clears before I head work tonight! (AND YES!) The Pub was busy last night.....we were the only place open in town. Look, I'm a MAINE GIRL with a Jeep. I aint scared!

Wow! I cannot imagine living in that amount of snow! It is nevertheless very beautiuful to look at in this photo! The silence of snow is what I like best.

Well, it is beautiful!
If it makes you feel any better, our temps have gone from high 80's to low 50's during the day for this week. The lows at night are supposed to drop into the 20's, which means a freeze that will kill or damage alot of our flowers, trees and shrubs.
Good thing, I know better than to plant a summer garden like alot of Tennesseans have done already.
Hang in there Jes, your Spring will arrive!

Jes, awesome pictures! I love your comment "I'm a Maine girl with a jeep, I ain't scared." I laughed my tail off! Good one.

I think you have to be a Mainer to appreciate this stuff. In Livermore we got 20". How about my 40 lb puggle, Reggie, having to relieve himself in snow taller than himself. All I could see was his nose up in the air. What a trooper!

Mush on, Jess! And how about that big secret project, huh??

The pictures are beautiful, but I'd appreciate them more if we were only in January. My birthday is SUPPOSED to be in the spring, so I was not happy with Ms. Mother Nature last night, even if we did get a snow day off. I don't want to be in school until the end of June!
Glad you made it home safely. Memere called me at mom and dad's last night at 6 and said the the roads were "treacherous" and I should bring Gabriel home ASAP. I'm so amazed that women hasn't worried herself to death yet.
Anyway, talk to you later.

Oh wow, so pretty, but not so springy! I am feeling better about our weather here in KS after seeing yours. We had a freeze last night, but on Monday it was 81. I was complaining about the cold, but at least there is no snow.
Keep warm!

Oh, WOW! Beautiful! We only get snow in my part of Mississippi every six or so years, and then it is usually less than an inch! I am "jealous" of all that beautiful snow! Such lovely views! Spring may be in full force here, but it is already getting HOT and steamy, foreshadowing a long hot summer! This Easter morning, though, we have a nice cool snap. The Westies are back to snuggling close, which I cherish!
Fondly,
Penny
